Food of Our Families: A Heritage Cookbookby Saint Mark's School Sixth Grade Class
Food of our Families celebrates the diverse recipes and heritages of a class of 46 sixth-grade students at Saint Mark's School, an independent school in San Rafael, CA. The cookbook grew out of a study unit on food and hunger around the world. As a result of their research into possible ways to end hunger on our planet, the class is offering the cookbook in order to raise funds for three organizations dedicated to providing sufficient food for people around the globe: Heifer International, Oxfam and the American Himalayan Foundation.
